Does increasing workers to a separator increase productivity?

In another simulation application, the number of workers will affect the productivity. (ie, reduce time taken to output something) I am wondering in this case, does increasing the number of workers will it affect the time taken to unpack something? If it doesn't, how can I do it such that if I were to increase the number of workers, the time taken to unpack would decrease?

As a separate question I have a state bar for the separators shown below, basically, I have 9 of them. To my understanding the percentage should only run if it was to be undergoing a process (unpacking) however, they are all showing 100% regardless whether it is processing or not.
I have a timetable that is set for both workers and the separators. Would this be the issue?1693468376813.png 1693468142188.png

Hey @night, with regards to your first question, if you want the number of workers to affect the time it takes to unpack a case, then you would have to control that logic yourself using Process Flow or another method. We don't make assumptions about how you want to control your model.

As for the State chart, I'm not sure what's happening with your model without seeing it. I can assume based on your screenshots that all Work Bays are processing 100% because you have a Time Table which assigns a state of "2- processing" as the "Down State". But that's just an assumption. If you'd like a more clear answer, please post a model (or a similar model that exposes the problem). Thanks!

You can reference this answer by Jason on process time varying with number of operators.

In that model, from what I am seeing, they are inputting the process time and the number of workers in a table. Are we able to affect the process time without having a table like that? Basically, we leave it for the program to automatically calculate the process time with regards to how many operators they have by themselves?

That table defines the contribution using an easy to understand set of values. As you vary the operators at the process the new time is adjusted automatically based on the varying efficiencies revealed in the table entries.
