This might not be as much detail as you're looking for, but it does provide some descriptions for the different items you're asking about.
@Jacob Gillespie might be able to shed some light on these settings (or correct me where I am wrong), but my understanding of the "Use Windows Authentication" setting is you can leverage Windows Authentication to restrict certain people that can access models being served up with the FlexSim Webserver. One way to do this is with Windows Active Directory.
And with "Restrict UserGroup Directories", you can also leverage usergroups set up with Windows Authentication to make sure only a certain group of users can access certain models in the Model Directory. Here is a post that is related to Active Directory and restricting users based on their group:

I'm not sure about the Session settings. Hopefully Jacob can help out more with that.
The session functionality allows each user to have a 'session' where their started instances are only available to them. The session can also expire after a specified time limit of no interaction. Upon expiration all started instances of the session are closed.
