I am trying to change the 3D shape of an elevator into a scissors lift visual appearance. However, if I do it in the same way I already do for fixed resources, the original configuration of the elevator is not disappearing.
If you edit the animations on the object you can either hide or delete the elevator components.
To edit the object's animations either right click on the object and select Edit > Animations... or double click on the object to open its properties, move to the General tab and click the Edit button next to the Visuals/Animations label.
This will open the Animation Editor. At the bottom there's a list of components in the object.
Click the eye button to hide the component or press the delete key on your keyboard to delete it.
