FlexSim HC 5, "Flexscript Error... versionUpgradePrompt"

There are actually 17 error entries as shown below...

To eliminate this problem, I've 1) uninstalled and reinstalled all versions of either FlexsimHC or standard Flexsim2016, and 2) searched for and deleted all "prefs.t" files. Now, only FlexsimHC5 is installed on my laptop. Although the error message doesn't appear to interfere with opening and editing models, UAB reports that, plagued with the same errors, they can't start a new model.

From the text of the error message, it appears that the problem may exist in the "version upgrade prompt." Irrespective of the source, I'd like to get rid of the error and would appreciate any help doing so.

UPDATE

I have fixed this problem. It had to do with older versions of FlexSim not recognizing the param() function that was used in the newest version upgrade check. Since FlexSim HC is based on the 7.5 engine, it manifested this error.

This error is not be related to any other errors besides checking for upgrades, and would not effect FlexSim further than the start page behavior. If you are encountering any other error, rest assured it is not related to this issue.

Original answer below

You can safely ignore this error. It has to do with FlexSim checking for upgrades on the server, and in no way effects the actual simulation - you will only see this error when the start page loads and checks for newer versions.

We will need to fix some code on the server to eliminate the error, which we can do on Monday.

There are two ways you could eliminate the error now. Firstly, stop FlexSim from looking for upgraded versions:

File>Global Preferences>Dynamic content, uncheck the box Check For Updates.

Or turn off the Start page altogether:

File>Global Preferences>Environment>Show start page when FlexSim opens
