Interim Location Processing Time

I have an activity that is first available location (xray vs exam). I would like to interject a stop in which the patient goes to the dressing room ONLY in the event that the xray table is open. SHould I redo the logic for this pathway or is there a way to designate that if xray is available, they go unattended to the dressing room, incorporate processing time (without staff) and then proceed to the xray location? @Matthew Gillespie

The biggest difficulty here is that you want the patient to be escorted to one area, but walk unattended to the interim destination of the other one. Because of this constraint you can't use a single activity to send the patient to which ever location opens up first.

You'll probably have to use separate activities for the two paths and recheck availability every so often if neither is available.

There is an option in the Based on Destination Status pickoption to use an interim location, but there are two reasons it doesn't work very well here:

1. As I mentioned at the start, you can't use one activity to make someone walk to one location and be escorted to the other.

2. Using the interim destination adds a second column of locations so that each final destination can be assigned an interim. In your case you only have an interim destination for one of the final destinations. You might be able to set the interim destination of the exam area to be the exam area, but I don't know if that would work 100%.
