Changing size of patient in wheel chair and in bed

Hi

I am trying to change the size of patient on wheel chair and on bed so that I could vary my elevator capacity. If I change the default x and y size the patient shape become out of proportion. Wonder how do I do it?

Also if I would like to change the wheel chair shape, do I just change it from the drawsurrogate of the patient object?

Look forward to hear the solution. Thanks

DAVID

It's not a good idea to mess with the size of patients or they will no longer position themselves correctly in location objects and their animation will look strange. I think you should concentrate your attention on the elevator capacity. Why not simply adjust the elevator's capacity to match the result you want to achieve in terms of number of allowed passengers? Another approach would be to try and restrict the number of patients who can enter the virtual queue of travelers who call and wait for an elevator. List the full specifications/description for the scenario you wish to model, and I'll see if I can come up with a solution for you.

@Cliff King

Thanks for your idea. My scenario for usage is below

1. Men only = 14

2. 2 men (resource) + 4 wheel chair

3. 2 men (resource) + 1 men in bed

After calculating the equivalent area, 1 men in bed is equivalent 9 people and 1 wheel chair is equivalent to 3 people. I men in bed is equivalent to 3 people.

Thanks

I thought of another idea. You could temporarily change the x,y size of a traveler as they arrive at the elevator node, and set their size back after they leave the elevator. It may screw up what they look like while riding the elevator, but it'll force the capacity constraints you're after.
