My patients need to go down two separate flows.

ACMH PTP Issues 3.jpgMy ED patients need to go down two separate flows after triage. 65% of the total demand comes in all day at various times. 35% start at 10am to 10pm. So I have the shift schedule setup. But the patients stop at 10am. ACMH Patient Travel Paths Issue.jpg

Hi @Mike H5, Could you post your model, or at least a small example of what you are looking for? I don't think we can debug it with the information you gave us.

I've attached a revised model with corrections I made. I found the following problems:

  1. You did not have a connection from "Escort then Process" to "MD Exam Lean" container.
  2. You did not have a "Release ExamGenBed" for both patient flow paths. Remember you need to have a release for every acquire regardless the path the patient takes through the process flow!
  3. You did not have a destination for your last walk activity in the 35% flow.
  4. You did not have the "patient" as the destination for the walk activities for RN Assessment and MD Exams.
  5. You had the glass door as the reference to the patient in the Remove Patient activity. This was probably a typo when you thought you were defining the destination for the Walk activity just above it.

Hey @Mike H5, the model you´ve shared is getting more patients after 10 am but you are not releasing a resource called "ExamLeanBed" on your left Flow, so it looks as if this is the fault.

I made some tests with it and for me it works, without having a deeper look into your Processes ;-)

Oh, if you could change your "By Percentage" Decide Activity to use 2 connectors:

This could help.

@Mike H5,

Were you able to set up a "Release Location" activity so that the "ExamLeanBed" is properly released and made available to other people as per Sebastian's suggestion? Or did you have trouble setting up the Decide activity to send by percentages?

I thought I had the release location ok, but apparently I did not. I tried what Sebastion suggested and I did fix his comment on the percentage. But I am having trouble where to put the release location, that is the problem. Also when I run it per Sebastion's suggestions, people stop at 9:30am and then only a couple move to the 35% area at 11:30am but that is it.

@Mike H5,

Sorry for the delayed reply. This question seems to have fallen through the cracks on my end. This looks similar to the model we were working on this week in a different post. Did you get this sorted out? If not, feel free to post the model as it stands and I'll do my best to implement Sebastian's suggestion.
