Staff State is set to ProvidingCare after released from workflow.

I'm working on a radiology departmental model and I have a process flow where a nurse is acquired early in the process and follows the patient throughout the workflow. Everything about the process is fine except when I was trying to report on the nurse's Staff State I discovered that after being released at the end of the process, the nurse's staff state continues to be tagged as 'ProvdingCare'.

It's a bit odd as the Availability is 'Available', but the State is 'ProvidingCare'. The nurses are also able to continue with the next patient as though they are available, so it appears that the release is working as expected, but it's not resetting the Staff State to idle. All of my other care providers are working as expected, and the nurses start the model as 'Available' & 'Idle'.

Is there something else I can check to ensure the staff state is being reset upon release?

Staff are put into the ProvidingCare state during a Process activity, but they should revert back to whatever state they were in before starting the Process activity when it ends. Could that staff still be referenced in a Process activity somewhere? Did a patient leave the model before their Process activity finished?

If you attach your model we can help you figure out what's going on better.

Thanks for that answer, it made me rethink the process flow that I was following. I have a split where the nurse provides care and a PA does a consult. The PA consult in the split was set to an Involed Resource flag of 'patient.Staff?' (I definitely forgot to update this process to the PA, but because the nurse was already with the patient, it didn't change the visual model)

Once the PA consult process started, it flipped the value of the nurse from 'ProvidingCare' to 'Idle' and subsequently seemed to reverse the values moving forward, leading to the nurse being released and keeping a state of 'ProvidingCare'.
