I am building the attached model based on another running model. but I've run into the error "time: 3.671847 exception: Error: Invalid list reference at push to list activity "Patient Process/Acquire Exam Table?" in process flow 'PatientSubFlows,.'" This occurs in the "Acquire Exam Table?" Activity with the red background. I have the feeling that it is something simple but I am unable to see what.

What you've got is close, but you need to reference the Exam Table resource in your Acquire Exam Table? activity.
Additionally, the Run Start Create Companions sub flow is working fine, but you haven't accounted for the case that the patient label "NumCompanions" is 0. In that case, the patient doesn't receive a "Companions" label because 0 tokens are run in the Create Companions sub flow. Does that make sense? So it might be worth adding a default option that, if NumCompanions = 0, sets the "Companions" label to 1.
By doing this, the model seems to work just fine. I updated it just to give an idea of what you could do.
