ASRS PROCESS FLOW

scenario 5_ parts to picker_23SKUs_vs1.fsmI don't know how to control AS/RS using process flow. Here is what I need to know:

  • On 'Storage Case Picking', Items are been created in a queue
  • Items need to be transported by a conveyor to its specific zone, according to 'aisleID' from destination address
  • Then, items need to be stored in the racks by an ASRS

I have read about ASRS in tutorials and manuals, but I still need an example to try to implement in my model.

Do you have an example of ASRS on process flow, or could you help me to implement the activities described above?

@Larissa R2,

As Jörg kindly explained, the ASRS vehicle is of the Task Executer class. This means that you can control it as you would an operator, AGV, or other Task Executer. I created a simple example model that shows this (as I couldn't find where in your model's process flow you wanted to use the ASRS).

Essentially, once you have a slot assigned, you can pick up the item with the ASRS and deliver it to that slot just like you would do with an operator or other Task Executer. I hope this helps answer your question.

use asrs with rack_1.fsm

@tanner.p, thank you very much. This is exactly what I needed. I am going to implement this logic in my model. :)
