Significant issues opening FlexSim 2020

While I can get to the main screen I cannot get any further (even opening a model created by a colleague). I get a "Not Responding" notification. I still have Windows 7 - would an update to Windows 10 fix this? Or could it be caused by a slow internet connect? Both?

Thanks,

Katie

Hi @Katie M,

FlexSim stopped supporting Windows 7 when it reached Microsoft's End-Of-Life date for the operating system on January 14, 2020.

That said, you may be able to get FlexSim to work on that system. Please try the various suggestions in our article on installation and startup issues. You'll need administrator permissions on your computer to test several of the suggestions. If none of the suggestions seem to solve the issue, the final point there describes using Windows Event Viewer to gather more information. Please update us on your results after working through these suggestions, or comment back with additional info from Windows Event Viewer.

Windows 10 is a great upgrade to 7, along with the added benefit that it is still supported. I do highly suggest upgrading as soon as you're able.
