Copy and Paste Process Flow and Model

Hello, in my model I am going to be using 20 stackers just like the one in the file I attached. Ideally I want to copy and paste all the process flow and the models. They all have a similar random element and its important that I have many of them to accurately analyze the final model. Is this possible? If so how would I go about doing that.

Thanks

Hello @Bradley S,

Are you wanting to copy and repeat the object within this model or add it to another model?

If you are repeating in the same model then you can hold the shift button on your key board and select all the objects, copy, and then paste.

In terms of copying and pasting to another model, it could work but you will need to go through each object and activity to verify and correct things that broke.

Yes I need to make 20 clones of my process flow. I can't seem to figure out how to make instances of my flow/model. Not sure if you can send me an example of a model that uses instances or you could make my model use instances. I would just like to play around with a model that uses it.

There are two (similar) things that you can use together:

1) Object Process Flows with member instances

2) Object Templates with child instances.

Object Process Flows are a single definition of a Process Flow that a number of objects use (as instances)

Object Templates allow the update and management of multiple 3D objects through edits to the template master.

To use templates place your objects in a visual tool and make that object the template master. Use the template properties to create instances. If you update the master the instances will also get updates.
