[ FlexSim 23.0.0 ]

I upgraded our flexsim license yesterday, first returning it, then upgrading, and then activating. I re-read the license in FlexLM, and everything is showing correct there. FlexSim however will not obtain a license anymore. Nothing else on the network has changed. I am able to ping the license server, just cant get the license to check out.

Hi @Michael R3,

I assume you've installed the latest version of the software on your client PCs in connection with your license server upgrade?

Did you remember to configure the newly installed software's license settings? The license settings won't automatically transfer from an older version. You'll need to go to Help > License Activation, choose the License Server tab, then check the box to Use concurrent licensing, and enter your port@address license server information.

If you've done that and still are not getting a license, let's connect live to see what we can see. Let me know.

We double checked the port number and license server address in the client software, and opened up the server firewall. These restored the license connection.

@Michael R3, if you care to, try re-enabling that firewall we disabled. Probably the issue was the server address, not the firewall. Just guessing based on nothing else about your network changing in conjunction with the license upgrade - likely all the problems were just on the client's license configuration. Now that you have a working port and license server address, likely the firewall can be put back the way it was.
