Travel distance chart units error

Hi,

There seems to be the following issue with the travel distance chart: when I run a model without changing anything from the dashboard where the chart is pinned, it shows the travel distance of the chosen object in whatever units I had set before saving it, but if I click on the chart in edit mode at any time, it is automatically set to display the value in the model length units. I attach a video below to better illustrate what I mean:


Is there any way to restrict that behaviour?

@Paula LG This issue is fixed in 23.0.13 and 23.2.3 released today.

Hey @Paula LG , it looks like when you clicked the dashboard chart, the length units got updated to those of the model - millimeters.

Apparently the chart defaulted to meters until it was refreshed when you clicked on it. You can change those to what you'd like in the properties panel.

They should stay after that change, regardless of the model units.

Thank you for your answer!

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. I already know that I can change the units on the chart manually, and it stays displaying the value with my units of choice while the file is open. However, every time that I close the model and open it again, I have the same problem; whenever I click on it, it is updated and set to the model units. That doesn't happen with any other charts (at least, not that I have noticed), since they maintain the chosen configuration no matter what.

What I was trying to ask for is if there's any way to change its behaviour so that it keeps the settings chosen for it, even if the model is re-opened

While this was true for your saved model I can't repeat it with another save. Can you try this version where I just saved it again with the chart set to millimetres?

Unfortunately, what I reported still happened with your saved version in millimetres. It actually happens in all the models I've ever developed.
