Transport with the bed OR Process on a gurney ?

I have patients brought to a treatment room where they then lie on a bed, receive treatment and are transferred to a "waking" area on that same bed and left there for a while.

An empty bed is rolled into the treatment room before the next patient arrives.

I can't seem to do this but I see 2 options. Which one is possible?

1 - Use a bed for the process and then move the bed to the other area. Can I do that? I don't seem to be able to move the bed.

2 - Use a gurney and do the process on the gurney and then move it to the other area.

Right now I us both and transfer the patient from the bed to the gurney but that is not really what happens.

Any ideas ?

Thanks a lot,

Patrick

You can have the patient stay on a gurney the whole time and just have the staff move the gurney to a spot on the floor. You still need to put Patient Processing objects in these spots, but if you set their shape to <none> and Keep the gurney in the Transport activity the gurney will be places on top of the Patient Processing object.

Here is an example model that shows it working.

That's great. But I can't replicate that in my model. The patient just stands beside the gurney and is transported standing up. Just spent 2 hours trying to find out why. Any ideas what it could be?

Attach your model and I'll take a look at it. You can start a new private question if the model is sensitive.

I'm on vacation this week so I'll get back to this next Monday. Thanks.
