Flexsim doesn't use install path but always installs in C:

Hi Guys,

I have a special folder with Flexsim versions. When I try to install 2017.0.2 in that directory by changing the install path in the install wizard, it still installs in C:\Program Files.

There was a version 2017 installed there but I reinstalled that version completely. Actually this problem already occurred earlier because there was never supposed to be a version in c:\Program Files to begin with.

Is this a bug or something particular to my computer?

I replicated your issue. This is a bug. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We made some changes to the installer so that it remembers custom install locations when doing an update. It seems something in that change isn't working correctly.

We'll look into it and see what we can do to fix it.

For now, you could copy or move the directory from where it was installed to where you want it. Sorry about the trouble.
