How to enter MTBF, MTTR and maintenance times as mean values?

Could someone please explain me in details how to use the MTTR, MTBF and maintenance time in the breakdown section of the processor? i need explanation for each parameter as i was only supposed to enter these three variables as means and not in terms of first failure, up, down times and etc.

And also, is it possible to enter the values of these variables as numbers "whole number" and not in terms of the default parameters?

Try this on your own. You can simply write a number in the fields of the functions and watch what happens in a model run.

First failure time is a parameter of the practice. You buy a machine and you expects that this machine is going to run without any errors a certain time. You maintain the machine and there aren't any errors. After a really large time interval there occurs the first failure. After this first error the mean time between the errors occurs in smaller intervals like a statistical distribution.

You can use the mtbf/mttr functions for maintenance, too. This means you can add several different sets of mtbf/mttr functions. You find the mtbf/mttr functions in the tools of your model, too, typically in the left frame of the workspace. Or you use the setup time to add a maintenance.
