Converting regular process flow chart to Flexsim process flow

I have been using Flexsim 3D modeling for a while. Now I want to try Process Flow modeling approach which seems to be promising in easier modeling of complex cases. To start, I will create a conventional flow chart with activities, decision boxes and loops to display the current production situation. Next I want to convert this chart to its Flexsim Flow Chart counterpart. Is there any tutorial, case study, conference paper available to help me to go through such conversion? I can see many examples in answers.flexsim.com but those are bits and pieces rather than a step-by-step guide for transforming a complete flow chart of a real case. As far as I have seen, none of the examples starts with a conventional flow chart. Rather, they build a Flextime Process Flow based on a textual description of the case such as post office operation.

I believe a user can learn the Flextime Process Flow modeling much faster and more efficeintly if the model is built by following an equivalent conventional flow chart.

Any help/advice will be appreciated.

What is your meaning of 'conventional flow chart'? Is that mean Visio or Excel or Power point chart application? I am not sure in detail that what is your meaning and what to do.

Flexsim process flow activities is similiar visually with the general process flow chart but the features and behaviors are some in detail different from general process flow chart.

The application of general process flow chart is only image to have not the logic and method or variable features etc.

But flexsim has a feature to import Visio chart. Please try to do it using flexsim and than if you have a question about it, upload it in this question forum.

So one thing you can do, and I recommend this for people who have a "conventional flow chart" is to use the Flow Chart Visual objects in the Process Flow. First draw out your flow chart with these visual tools. Then you can add the actual Process Flow activities that handle the logic of that section of your Flow Chart, by dragging them out of the library INTO those visual shapes. This will help you create a visual representation of your original flow chart, while using the activities of Process Flow to execute the program logic of your model.
