taskexecutor not travelling on network after resumeobject or MTTR

I have used MTBF/MTTR to stop a taskexecutor which is travelling on the network. I realised that the TE does not follow the curve network path after the down time. In addition, if virtual distance is used. It is also ignored.

How do I make TE to continue on curve path and continue with the virtual distance setting?

Thanks

David

I saw your reply. What do you means by "bumped"?

@david.chan,

When a task executer on a network node path is stopped, he disconnects from the network. When he is resumed, he reconnects to the network and travels directly to his next node. He is no longer on the network node path. This is a limitation of how the default network navigator works.

If you want different behavior, then you would need to use a different navigator, such as the AGV Navigator.

You could also not stop a traveler in the middle of an edge. Instead of stopping the operator immediately, add logic to stop the operator at a future point, such as saving a label on the operator and stopping him in a different trigger if that label is set.

Thanks for reply. I am modeling a ship that move along a river. The ship will stop after moving certain time interval. There are curves in the route and I would like to use virtual distance as well. Can that we done in using AGV navigator too? If not, what is your recommendation?

You could try using conveyors. Or you could add more nodes and stop the operator at nodes instead of along paths.
