Label configuration

I want to assign a label to an item, where the data stored in the label is increased from 1-8, in such a way that the counter is restarted and recounts from 1-8. Any suggestions?. This is when the items are created, in this case 80 items

I'd have a little set of process flow activities do it like this:

that's a schedule source that creates a single token that listens for an item to be created then assigns the values. See attached model.
