Statistics Collector and kinetic tracked variable

Hi,

I found a bug in the 19.0 beta from Nov 9.

When I create a kinetic tracked variable and then use the "Pin" option to create a time vs value plot, the automatically created statistics collector listens to the On Change event, Change rule: Change. However, this never picks up a change in the variable when only the rate is changed. As a result, the chart remains empty.

Interestingly, when I create an Event Triggered Source in Process Flow and let it wait for the same event, it does create tokens.

Please see the attached demo model for an example.

Of course I can fix the stats collector but using the Update rule instead of Change, but I guess you'd like the "Pin" button to work out of the box for kinetic variables as well.

That does seem like a bug. I will put it on the dev list.

Hi Jordan. Sorry to bother you with this again, but I now have the opposite problem: setting the rate works, but now value changes are ignored. In fact it seems that neither the Update nor the Change event is firing in this case. 16314-trackedvariablestatscollector-example-value.fsm

@jordan.johnson

There are newer questions with this same problem going on. Has Mischa's problem been added to the dev list?
