Healthcare Clinic Booking/Scheduling Model

model-normal-access-v2.fsmHello,

The model I am attaching which was built in HC 5.3.10 version, but I would like to build a similar model in the newest version. The model is split into two streams - urgent and normal appointments. Patients arrive by a schedule, take an appointment and then go back to a queue to wait for their next appointment. There are several priority types and rules to increase the priority of patients waiting longer than a certain time. The daily number of appointments allocated to new versus return patients works by a user event which opens up the specified number of beds by a "Max Appointments" for both new and returners.

Has anyone attempted a similar model in FlexSim 19.1, or have any tips for rebuilding this in 19.1?

Thanks

I took a look at your model and, to me, this seemed like the kind of model that would be most appropriate as a straight Process Flow model. There's one part of the flow that's creating appointment "slots" every day. Then there's another part of the flow representing the patient tracks. The flow creates tokens according to your arrival schedule and then these tokens try to grab an appointment slot. You can add a 3D aspect to this model if needed, but it works pretty well as just abstract flows.
