Replacing the conveyor model

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you can replace the conveyor model with your own model i.e. one that you designed in solidworks etc.? If possible, how do you go about doing it. Furthermore, do you need to the animation again?

My problem right is I want the conveyor to look like the one I designed.

Hi @Afthab L,

Unfortunately, conveyors are more difficult than other objects when it comes to manipulating them past basic FlexSim functionality. While you can add textures relatively easily to conveyors, you probably won't be able to change the 3D shape like you want.

I recommend using a normal conveyor underneath a BasicFR object that has the 3D model of your designed conveyor.

Then place a hidden conveyor inside the BasicFR 3D shape.

This way, your conveyor can still handle proper logic and animations, but the BasicFR looks more accurate to real life.
