Record video with flypath

Hello,

I asked about video recorder and flypath before.

https://answers.flexsim.com/questions/65277/disable-flypath-loop-playback-for-video-recorder.html

Having suggestions and hope the old issue can be fixed in near future.

Issue: "Match the flypath time to model time" unchecked but being checked while recording video.

Suggestion 1: Add a checkbox "loop flypath" to video recorder let user determine the flypath do loop or not on recording video. In this way we can also indicate multiple flypaths in shared sequences mode.

Suggestion 2: Edit mode of flypath as a checkbox option to prevent changing view on keyframe accidentally.

Thank you.

@steven.chen

Suggestion 1 : flypath loop feature is able to do using left icon of time icon.

"Issue: "Match the flypath time to model time" unchecked but being checked while recording video."

This is by design. When that box is unchecked, then the flypath runs based on the system clock based on real passing of time.

When running the video recorder, capturing the view each frame can take a long time. It runs and records each frame as fast as possible, not synchronized to real time, so it must synchronize to simulation time.

If you don't want the flypath to loop, then specify a duration that is exactly equal to the duration of your flypath. If "not loop" means you want the flypath to continue to show the last frame, then add another frame after the last frame at the same viewpoint, and move it so that it is beyond the duration of that sequence. This is a non-issue because you can resolve it by simply adjusting your flypath.

Suggestion 1. You can indicate multiple flypaths using shared sequences by using one flypath per shared sequence and creating multiple shared sequences. A video contains a list of shared sequences to record.

See the attached model. vid-rec-shared-sequences-example.fsm

Suggestion 2. For 20.0, we changed the animator to only update when explicitly told to update an existing keyframe. I'll add a case to the dev list that we should update the presentation builder to work the same way to prevent accidentally changing keyframes.

OK now I understand how the design works. Then I think it will be great if the mechanism processed internally that scales up flypath by runspeed. Or all keyframes of flypath need to be modified on runspeed of video recorder changed.
