Model background in RTX mode

Hi, when enabling RTX mode, the background (e.g. layout .dgw) disappears.

Is there any workaround to this? Can it be fixed?

thank you

There is explanation in manual for this behavior:

“RTX Limitations

  • Only triangles. RTX Mode currently only renders meshes drawn with GL_TRIANGLES. Other draw modes, such as lines and points, are not supported.”

if you would be able to build a plane of triangles and you distribute textures tiles over those triangles to match with your dwg layout file the chances rise to see a background picture.

Edit: it will probably be a feature for updates in the future.

@Lambert , If you have resources in a design tool to place a texture over a plane of triangles like ac3d it does, you can add an object with a customized shape to replace a background picture. Then this should apply for the limits of current RTX feature.
