Create more Racking Efficiently and Accurately

Hello,

I have also attached a screen recording of the issue that I am facing. Now if I am able to make a Rack and I want to make another one in the same line leaving 72 inch of aisle space in between. How would I calculate and do that? I can copy and paste another rack and place it but I have no idea how to measure the aisle space and how farther away I am placing this.

Is there a better way to do this because I have more 70 racks to place and I have to make them accurately spaced for the layout to be advantageous. Also is there a way to measure these dimensions too?

Positioning objects exactly in FlexSim is a matter of utilizing the coordinate fields in the object properties. Depending on personal preference this might be easier if you set the reference to one of the corners instead of the center.

If the racks are spaced out with a fixed distance in between, you could use a model parameter to copy out group objects.

Or you can write a script that copies and places racks either relative to each other or based on coordinates given in a table, for example.

Note that these options will not work in the Express/Demo version of the software as it enforces a limit on the number of objects in the model and does not allow to create new objects programatically.
