Webserver does not work on another PC

Hello,

I set up webserver, and i tried to open it up on another PC in the same network using my this url "IPv4 adress:port" and while on my computer (host) it worked on my colegues computer it does not even after i turned off firewall.

My goal is to make a website that will allow clients to open flexsim model via internet and not local network.

I'd like to ask for some guidance in those two things. Thanks

PS. Do i have to use either Apache or ISS to allow another pc to connect to webserver?

@Łukasz E,

IIS or Apache is not required. If your setup worked through your browser locally, then it was properly working to serve the content. This means that the issue where a neighbor computer could not reach your FlexSim Webserver is just a networking issue.

You already tried turning off your local firewall. Can the neighbor computer ping your computer? Can they make a remote desktop connection to your computer? There are different services like that you could enable to test making other types of connections from computer to computer. If you are able to connect from the neighbor computer to your computer using some other service, then you know the connection can be made.

It is hard to make more than general suggestions given the circumstances. You may consider reaching out to your local FlexSim representative for live support.
