Changing pivot point of conveyor possiblity?

Hey there,

I would like to know if it is possible to change the the point of rotation on a conveyor.

When using a "Change Visual" function within the process flow, I would like the conveyor to rotate around the Z-axis around the center point of the conveyor, and not the beginning.

Hi @Brandon I, a basic rotation like on a processor isn’t possible. You can insert a plane as a container. You put the conveyor onto the plane, then you can rotate the plane.

FlexSim is capable to rotate a conveyor by code like you try it, but in fact a source code would only rotate and set position of the ends of a conveyor, that it looks like the conveyor would rotate by its center.

Perhaps you ask a new question, what you want to achieve in your model. For example: “How to build a turntable for conveyor system?”. You can also look for already given answers in this forum.

Thank you for the reply!

I tried with the plane, it works fine for what I want to achieve. I know about the turntable solution with kinematics and what-not, but I have no knowledge of the use of that.

I'll stick with the plane container for now. =)
