Strange behaviour - people uses bridge network in Astar

I am trying to make a group of flow items - people follow a network of bridge points to ascend to a queue about 8 meters high. As the group of people (12) approach the start of a bridge network, 4 of them will walk straight on ground level towards a fixed direction towards infinity it seems . Looking forward to any advice . Thanks

Hi anonymous user, the only way I could get all the people to the queue was to uncheck the collision avoidance box in the behavior tab of the A* navigator properties. This probably isn't the best option, though, so I'll see if I can find someone who might have a better answer.

Hi Eric, thanks for your help. Yes, it does look a bit better, however when I increase the number of people, the people sort of line up before getting onto the bridge path. Looks a bit strange. if you do have a better solution, do let me know.

These changes worked:

  • the Social Force Behaviour to use Forces as Speeds
  • Path progression angle :110 degrees
  • Path recalc timeout: 2 seconds.

Hi Jason, unfortunately I still encountered the issue occasionally. I tried tweaking the parameters but it didn't improve. just some feedback. Thanks
