BOM (with a lot of raw material)

Hello,

We have to make a model of a production plant that produces 14 end products starting from different raw materials.

To produce the 14 references, we have 14 different BOM and in each of them there are many references of raw material to be able to manufacture the final product. How can we get these raw material references into FlexSim? (there is a total of 90).

Thank you very much and in case something was not clear ask me without problem.

FlexSim 22.2.4

@peliconis12 You could create a base table of 90 rows with all materials and the properties it needs (for instance packaging weight, amount of packaging on pallet etc) and then have an end product table with 14 columns and also 90 rows and if the end product contains a particular raw materials you enter the value of the amount. So if you run through the rows and you have a value > 0 you know you use the product with that row number.

You can speed up your modelling by creating arrays with all the raw materials per end product so you don't have to loop over 90 rows but just over the length of your array.

And another question that has arisen is that we receive a demand for final product that varies every month, and we know that we have to push pull on all machines but within push pull we do not know what conditions we have to put.

Thank you.
