Precautions for using Way Points

Hi,

I found a following great article and expanded on it to create a crossroads with traffic lights.

https://answers.flexsim.com/questions/122426/how-to-use-traffic-signal-logic-in-agv-network.html

However, the official documentation advises using process flows instead of way points.

https://docs.flexsim.com/en/23.0/Reference/Tools/AGVNetworkTool/AGVNetwork/AGVNetwork.html#wayPoints

What are the disadvantages of using way points?

I've already built the model halfway, so I don't want to recreate it unless it's a big problem.

Thanks in advance.

The recommendation to use process flow over waypoints has been in the documentation since version 16.1.

With the process flow approach you probably have easier access to more information, events and states, and using instanced process flows will create a more decentralized /object-based system which can be easier to interpret and manage (this may be subjective).

Thank you for your information. I agree that the process flow approach is easier.
