Stack pallets in a queue taking into account the height of the items on the pallet

The feature I would like to request is shown in the image below.

queue-stacking-request.png

This feature is requested very frequently by our customers who use FlexSim to simulate material handling.

I have read this post, I understand that this problem can be partially solved by using the palette created by @Joerg Vogel, but it is not a complete solution because it cannot be handled in the same way as the normal pallet, for example, it cannot be divided by separators and items cannot be referenced by subnodes.

So I would like to request that such a pallet stacking system be implemented as a default feature.

Use the autosizing pallet from this userlibrary that you can use in combiners, seperators and racks as a normal pallet. You can also stack full pallets (place one full pallet in another full pallet) and the stack will require the correct space in a rack.

autosizingpallet.fsl

With your model loaded, just load the library and it will install the PalletAuto flowitem into your model - the library is just a transport device and is not needed afterwards.

Sorry for the very late reply.

Thank you for sharing your useful library. We will provide this information when we receive inquiries from customers using versions prior to 23.1.

For the upcoming FlexSim 23.1 feature release, we've adjusted the settings on the default Pallet flowitem to use a new Pallet.fbx file and a new packing method that automatically resizes the yellow box and shape offsets of the pallet:
