While taking other simulation classes, I have found it very helpful to have pre-built copies of the models that are created in class. It is especially helpful if there are multiple versions of the model, so if a student builds the first half of the model and something isn't working, they are able to open the working copy that is only half-way built, and continue to follow along. While simple issues can be resolved during class time, this allows more complex problems specific to a single student to be addressed at a later time. These partially solved versions of the model also allow students to not fall behind if something from work pulls them out of class briefly. It would also be beneficial to have an opportunity for students to give feedback at the end of classes with ideas such as this, since I'm not sure if the development forum is the correct place for classroom ideas.
