Can FlexSim objects be controlled by logics ?

Can Flexsim objects (Fanuc Robots) be controlled by providing certain logics. Means, if i would like to control the robot to pick items can i give some instructional logic to make it work? Basically i wanted to know if flexSim objects can be controlled manually not to run by simulation behavior

Yes, but not as a robot simulation program. You can manipulate a fictional item in robot object properties to place the gripper location and orientation. The kinematic follows the tool coordinate system origin. You are able to read the robot arm components property values in the model tree, while you manipulate the gripper position. But what do you want to achieve?

Thanks for your response Joerg. My requirement is without running the simulation model i would like to send instructions or commands from flexscript or vb.net or javascript to control the action of robots.


Instruction : Robot should pick items and place in conveyor

Model : now robot will pick the bottle and place it in coveyor as per the instruction received to the model.


All this should happen by the instruction and command to access the control for action of robot not by running the model in simulation but by control.

Execution of dll code is a feature of running a simulation model. But that shouldn’t be a problem, because you transport items. Then the model must run!

Is there some basic model or example where i can refer and start with for controlling fanuc robot in flexSim ?

Attaching the model with a robot and processors. This Robot currently picks an item from processor and places it to another processor by running the simulation. I would like to make the robot pick, stop, place by commands or logics. Can you please help on this.control-model.fsm
