How to rename objects to display properly in dashboard?

I have built a model with a model tree structure within which all of my conveyor have the same name "conveyor1" but they are under planes with different names. When I display the AVg Content on conveyor, I want to display either the whole model tree path (first image with red circles - e.g. CAD/PlaneTopFloors1/PlaneBottom1/PlaneIn2/Conveyor1) of the conveyor.

Is there a way to add extra names on the conveyors so that it displays those names on the dashboards? I have attached the screenshots here, please see the "Average Content" chart.

I just noticed that the format depth takes care of this. If anyone has an idea to mass rename the conveyor labels, that will be very helpful for this statistics display.

Hi @Niket M,

I'm glad you were able to address your problem! As for renaming the conveyor labels, there is a simple way to do that as long as you don't mind re-entering any values that need to be changed. If you look at the Labels properties panel on any of your objects, you can see two icons in the lower right corner (see red circled icons in image below). screenshot-2021-09-17-131342.png

These icons allow you to copy labels (either all of them or specific ones) from one object to the selected object(s). So, just change the label on one of your objects, then Ctrl-click to select all of the objects you want to copy those labels to, then click the appropriate icon in the Labels panel. Then, if you check, all objects should now have the label with whatever value you assigned to it on the first object.

I hope this helps! Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

@Ryan Clark This is helpful. However, I am trying to either change the name of the conveyor or apply a string label to conveyor so that I can access that conveyor by that label while displaying the statistics for the conveyor.

Like instead of showing the whole path of the conveyor in the dashboard, I can just display the label_name of the conveyor so it's easy to interpret.

The method I outlined for copying labels would work if you wanted to apply a string label to each conveyor. You could manually add a string label to one conveyor, then copy that label over to the other conveyors. Then all that would remain to do is modify the label to be what you want on each individual conveyor.
