FlexSim 2018 Update 2 - Software will shut down by its own automatically

Hi,

I have problem running the FlexSim 2018 Update 2 version. It will shut down by its own after I try opening the program. I have tried the 10 to 11 steps suggested by the forum but none of them work.

My computer system is having the following features:

1. Processors - 11th Gen Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-1165G7 @2.8GHz2

2. Ram: 16.0 GB

3. System Type: 64 bit operating system

4. Edition: Windows 10 Enterprise

With the specification, I believe the new laptop is capable to run the FlexSim software. A little bit on the background. I am using the organisation laptop with full administration rights. The only thing I am unable to do is to disable the Antivirus software (Trend Micro) that is currently installed in this laptop.

I have run the Event Viewer and generate the error from the application. Please see below for the codes:

Did you unplug your network connection? Did you deactivate internet content in FlexSim?

Hi @Oscar M2 ,

If you search this community for the dll listed in your error text, LIBEAY32.dll, you will find our article on FlexSim installation or startup errors.

At the bottom is a heading Update OpenSSL DLLs.

The steps there will likely solve your problem. The basic steps are:

  1. Download the latest version of FlexSim.
  2. Install.
  3. Find the updated OpenSSL DLL files.
  4. Copy them to your older FlexSim installation, replacing any instances of those same files.

Let us know how it goes.
