Buffer

Hello,

I'm creating a model where there are different buffers. Whenever these buffer's quantity are above of a specific number the concrete buffer has to pull from its previous buffer and ask a quantity to reach to the maximum quantity. How can I simulate it?? (it is to simulate the Demand Driven MRP.

It's hard to know how to help without looking at your model. To receive a more accurate solution, please post your model or a sample model that demonstrates your question.

Hi,

Thank you for your help. But still don't know how to figure out. The model is the next one. So, the idea is that from the sink the demand is asked, which it takes from rack2. When this one empty to such an extend, processor4 will start processing. And again, when rack1 is empty to some level processor2 will start processing.

@Miguel49, Then search this forum for the keyword of kanban, kan-ban or any other possible combinations of character order. Your question is obviously an exercise at an university. It is your obligation to find a solution on your own. Otherwise your lecturer would have posted a statement otherwise here at this site.

Please build of basic objects source, queue, processor and sink a material flow chain with three different colored types of items. Then activate on input pane pull option, where it is possible in your objects. Choose in processor to pull only one type. Watch while model runs.
