Issue Running FlexSim Smoothly

The file I am working on for my plant consists of many machines and processes. Additionally, we have 3D imaging for all of the machines and a CAD floor plan for scaling purposes. I am running it on a laptop with 32GB of RAM but unfortunately I have been experiencing a lot of downtime from the program "not responding". Any suggestions on how to improve the application's performance?

@Griffin Burwell , There is a chance that your custom 3D shapes (and possibly the CAD file) are large enough that they are bogging down the 3D rendering process.

How does your model run with all 3D view windows closed? Is the runspeed any better?

If so, you'll want to work on simplifying your 3D shapes. See the user manual section Creating and Importing Custom 3D Objects (flexsim.com).

It seems to run fine with the 3D window closed. The 3D files seem to range from 100,000-500,000 KB per file. I normally have the 3D view open but it freezes often when I am working with process flow or anything aside from the 3D model. Like you said, the 3D images are probably too complex. I believe when I first added the CAD file, that slowed the program down significantly.

@Griffin Burwell , along with simplifying the 3D shapes, try following the guidelines to simplify your CAD drawing:
