We have completed several trials and have been curious if the "Earnings per Patient" metric is distributed uniformly across the given range in each department, or if there is another distribution that determines the earnings made per customer, given the provided range?

The Earnings per Patient is uniformly distributed within that range in each department.
This means that each patient in a department is assigned an earnings value that is within that range for the department. A uniform distribution is used to assign those values. The totals and averages are then taken from those values for the patients within the departments.
