Impact of distance between processor and sink on output

Greetings Everyone,

I'm trying to see the impact of spatial distance (x-cordinate) between processor and sink, I've used performance measure as output by hour

I used Processor/spatial as the variable for parameter.

But i think I'm missing out on something in this model, I'm trying hard to set simple parameter condition for spatial distance, just wanted show as distance decreases between processor and sink, output increases.

I'd would kindly request everyone if they through some light on this.

You haven't set up the parameter correctly. You have to specify which coordinate (x, y, or z) the parameter will change and not just the "spatial node" which contains those options.

And you have to choose the correct On Set option "Set Node Value".

This will get the processor x-location to change with the parameter.

Why would the distance have an impact on throughput in this model though? There are no task executers whose travel time would be impacted. The transfer through port-connections happens instantly regardless of distance.
