Hello, I've gone to the download page and installed the 2025 Beta as the regular "Upgrade Now" button does not work from the Start Page (clicking does nothing). The application will not update. It times out. Do I have a license issue on my end or is this a known issue? I have tried various different internet connections

Hi @Logan Gold . I appreciate @Ben Wilson response... but the answer didn't address the issue of not being able to update from the button on the start page. That button has no effect. Is this intended? if so, this is new and confusing behavior. Second it looks like my licenses are now different online vs my machine. I am working on a project and am concerned that if I start messing with the license I can lose time trying to work through support to figure it out. I'll just carry on with the old version until I have time to work through this.
Hey @Jason Merschat, sorry you're still having issues. The button on the Start Page should work to start the download process for whatever version it is displaying (it can be a bug fix or a new feature release), but there are plenty of reasons why it may not work - firewall issues, network settings, etc. In those cases, going through the website will be the best option to download the version of the software you need.
For your licenses, I'm guessing what you are seeing online is the upgraded version of the licenses (probably 25.0). The List Licenses page shows the most recent version of a license, and if the software on your computer is still using an older version, that would explain why there is a difference between the two. If you want to go through the steps that Ben mentioned to return the old version of the license, you should be able use the Activation ID you see on the website to activate the newest version on your computer. And then both places will show the same license information.
Hi @Jason Merschat , sorry for the trouble. Connections from the software don't do as well with long process times and tend to timeout before the upgrade process completes.
The workaround is just to return your license normally, log in to your FlexSim account to obtain your upgraded license code, then activate your upgraded license.
