I'm working on a logistic simulation and I would like to use a high resolution satellite world map where I can zoom (maybe using longitude and latitude coordinates?) into a specific ship yard and observe a vessel being loaded while also being able to zoom out and see the ships in route to their destinations around the world. Is this possible? what are the requirements?
What you're trying to achieve sounds like you want to implement something like Google Maps into FlexSim. I'm not sure about that, but if you want a high res map loaded in your model, you could just use a plane as the back ground, and then in the plane's properties, under the 'General' tab, you can set the texture of the plane. Then just size it to scale. If you have a high res map already, then this should work for giving you a background. You could also layer other planes with even higher res maps over the locations you need (such as the ship yard).
