Error in Flexsim 17.1.6

Hi, these weeks I have been having a problem with my model. It has some errors messages and sometimes it collapses. But I have run my model in the new version 17.2 and it goes better without collapsing. It could mean that the error came from the version of Flexsim? What options do I have considering that I bought the 17.1 version licence?

Hi @Natalia E,

The license that I see under your organization is under current maintenance, and therefore is eligible for upgrading to the latest version.

If you have the license on your computer currently, you should be able to upgrade the license from the main menu, Help>License Activation, Upgrade Licenses tab. Hit the Request Upgrades button.

If for some reason there is an error, you may need to do a more manual upgrade, where you return from the return tab, then view your licenses online to get the upgraded license code, then activate the new license code.

Sorry I didn't notice that your license was server-based. The upgrade procedure is a bit different. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Log in to your license server
  2. open flexsimserveractutil.exe
  3. return your 17.1 license
  4. go online to your FlexSim account to get your 17.2 license
  5. use flexsimserveractutil.exe to activate your 17.2 license
  6. reread the license file (or just restart the license server application) to apply the new license

These steps are outlined in more detail in the License Server Upgrade documentation.

You may also want to consider posting your model to another question (perhaps a private question if the model is confidential) to get help looking at your errors.

Please make sure you do that on a new question, as this question (It could mean that the error came from the version of Flexsim? What options do I have considering that I bought the 17.1 version licence?) is licensing related, and has a licensing-related answer.
