Set combiner output itemtype depending on input itemtype

Hello, I have a a combiner with an input of a generic cylinder that is 'joining' one of three spheres of itemtype '1', '2' or '3' that enter the combiner in a random order. How to I set the itemtype of the output cylinder to match the input sphere. Thanks

You can use a trigger to have a global table record the value of the item type coming from the source.

Then on the combiner use a trigger to set a label on process finish with the value from the table.
