problems with selecting and unselecting with SHIFT

I have a problem with selecting and unselecting objects. Whenever I select with SHIFT it selects both the one I want as the last one in the model tree. How do I solve this issue?

The SHIFT key allows you to select multiple objects at the same time. Before selecting objects with the SHIFT key, make sure to click somewhere in the model space while holding the SHIFT key away from other objects to clear all selected items. Then, press the SHIFT key and click and drag your mouse to highlight the objects you would like to select.

Hopefully this works for you! If not, don't hesitate to let us know.

I understand the concept of using the SHIFT and CTRL keys, however the program selects parts that I am not selecting. e.g. I want to select processor and queue and i drag a box around the items and when release the box I have selected the processor and queue in red plus the last item in the tree which is positioned outside my selection box. This is a bug in flexsim.

Before selection I made sure nothing was selected

I wasn't able to recreate this bug, but we will pass this along to the developers.

This is a known issue with using a "Generic (No GPU Acceleration)" OpenGL Context in Global Preferences on the Graphics tab.

Rather than using a Generic OpenGL Context, you should upgrade your graphics drivers so that you can use a GPU accelerated OpenGL Context.
