How to insert opening in divider in AStar

I created a layout of dividers with Astar but they all automatically connected into a couple of big complex dividers. Now I want to insert openings into some of the divider segments.

Is there a way to do this in the 3D view and not by going into the Barriers tab in Astar which is not a friendly way to do it? Actually, I haven't been able to insert an opening in the Barriers tab. I can add a point but not an opening.

And if I try to delete one segment in the 3D view to add a door, I end up deleting the whole big complex divider.

Thanks

Have you tried using Bridges? They allow you to build opening in your barriers anywhere you want them

Thanks that exactly what is needed. But to my defense, (and this is also a comment for you guys), nowhere in the manual are the different Astar objects explained. There is only a section explaining what the different properties tabs of Astar are but not what the different objects are.

Thanks,

Hi Patrick- just letting you know that an explanation of the A* objects will be included in the 18.2 manual.
