Beginner flexsim warehouse

Bonjour , je suis débutante sur Flexsim, je dois modéliser le nombre de box qu'il me faut dans une pièce et calculer la meilleure disposition possible .

Comment je réalise un diagramme "zone statistic" ?

Merci.

Hello, I'm a beginner on Flexsim, I need to model the number of boxes I need in a room and calculate the best possible layout .

How do I make a "zone statitic" diagram?

Thank you.

Hi @ORNELLA S

Welcome! We are happy to help you with any questions you might have.

Would you be able to upload the model that you have made or a diagram? This way we can better understand what you need. Thanks.

preformes-magasin.fsm I have to design the room which is 700 M² and find the best layout for the boxes I can put maximum five on top of each other but I don't know if it will be possible with the stability of the room.

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. What process are you trying to simulate with the boxes?

I want to find the best way to store the 600 boxes in the 27 m².

I am sorry, but the FlexSim software is not built to optimize the placement of boxes. FlexSim is used to model, predict, simulate, and visualize systems in manufacturing, material handling, healthcare, warehousing, mining, logistics, etc.

We can help you simulate boxes being moved in and out of a warehouse, but the software is not used to figure out the size of a warehouse or the stability of a room.

HI Everyone

I managed to model the 3 storage areas, now I would like to be able to place each box at a defined height and make a simulation according to the months of the year.
I joined you the excel of my calculations.
Do you have any ideas to help me?

Hi @ORNELLA S,

I advice you getting started with the tutorials in the User Manual (Help menu). I also sent you a student license with a link to download my training material. There are about 15 models which will help you understanding the basics of simulation with FlexSim.

Bin packing algorithms are their own thing, and could be programmed or implemented within FlexSim if you wanted to do it:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bin_packing_problem

Entire businesses are built around this problem, so it is by no means trivial. However, FlexSim is a powerful development platform, using Process Flow and/or coding. If you were comfortable enough with the software, you could implement some of these algorithms into a FlexSim model. That would be a cool way to visualize the results.

Just a warning - this is outside the scope of our normal support, beyond what our support team would be able to help with.

You could use this community for basic or tangential questions while you're working on it, but you would be doing the bulk of the real work. If you need it built for you, you'll probably need to hire a consultant.
