Problem with an item stuck on a conveyor, blocking the flow?

Hello,

I am trying to model a multi line conveyor system, with processors at the end. Seems like the item is getting stuck at the end of the small conveyor, blocking the flow. This only happens when i am trying to assign variable processing time, which i need for my application. If the processing time is fixed, i dont have this problem. If i make it variable, items are jumping over.

What am i doing wrong?

I have the model attached

I appreciate your help

The conveyor on top of the processor is a good idea, but have you considered using Process Flow to control the movement of the items? This way you could move the items directly from the main long conveyor to the processor.

Hi Tanner. The small conveyor is for more for visual purposes.

Can you help me with the blocked content?

I prefer not to use Process Flow in this case; it is involved, by my opinion.

@Monika F, If the conveyor is for visual purposes, then there are two suggestions I would make to avoid Process Flow:

1) Use a conveyor with a station that does the process time instead of the processor.

or

2) Only use the processor with it's built-in conveying animation.

It seems that using both the conveyor and the processor is adding unnecessary time to your model and complicating it such that the items don't want to process.

I think keep it simple with the processor only will work. So boxes go from the conveyor to the processor right away.

Thanks guys :)
