Hello I have a problem of simulating an assembly process. Process goes like this:
1. operater takes from a box 1 base plate
2. operater positions 1 base plate in welding station
3. operater takes 6 ribs and puts them in welding station
4. Welding
5. manipulator puts out a conveyor welded part
6. parts go to a buffer station
7. operator 2 is packaging them
Can someone show me how is the best solution of this. I am lost..
Here is a very simple model for an assembly line that your can use as a template. The combiner can be used to model the welding station. And the processor can model a packaging station. The flow items can be adjusted to look more like the base plate and ribs (https://docs.flexsim.com/en/19.1/Using3DObjects/WorkingWithFlowItems/UsingFlowItemBin/). As well as the Process Time can be changed for welding and for packaging.

Station explanation:
1. Ware house: there are boxes with input material base plate and ribs ( in one box there are 300 base plates)
2. Hooper Base plate: its a hooper with capacity of 1800 base plates
3. Hooper ribs: its a hooper with capacity of 4000 ribs
4. Welding operator: fills hooper for base plate and hooper for ribs. Also inserts 1 base plate ans 6 ribs in a welding station
5. Conveyor capacity with 30 welded pieces. It moves one welded piece at a time
6. Buffer: batces 40 welded pices
7. packaging operator: puts 64 welded pieces and a box in packaging combiner
8. Packaging box: inside are 50 pieces of packaging boxes
One more question is how to implement maintenance every 6 hours. on welding station.
