Can you provide a case of using OPC DA?

I am using MatrikonOPC connect to flexsim, the connection is successful, but I can't receive any data.

Here is an extremely simple example to test your connection, it gets the sin tag value from the server and prints it out in the console. I'm using a different server, but you should be able to point to the right tag on your server. This should be a baseline test to see if you can read tags in general.

Hi, @Joshua S I am currently trying to get the Allen Bradley connect to FlexSim, it seems like there are some bugs for the AB protocol, so I am trying to use OPC DA, my question is how do you identity the server name of the OPC DA? I have my RSLinx locally running.

Thank you

You will need to have an OPC DA server running, and then the browser button next to the Server edit field will display the server you are running. I have noticed that sometimes there are multiple data accesses and each one of those can be expanded to select your server. You might need to try a couple of the data accesses to connect to your server, I've had to do that in the past.
